An Armonk Institution For 25 Years
John and Sophie Schriefer opened the first Schriefer's Delicatessen
in Queens, NY in 1929. Since then, the Schriefer family has continuously served
New Yorkers the finest, home-cooked deli favorites. Schriefer's Delicatessen in Armonk is the latest in this 79-year family-owned
tradition.
Rich Schriefer opened Schriefer's Armonk Deli on September 14, 1987, sixty years from the day that
Sophie Schriefer arrived in New York from Germany. Rich carries on the family tradition here in Armonk, serving homemade
foods using the same recipes his parents, uncles and aunts perfected over the previous 60 years.
Over the past 25 years, Schriefer's has become an Armonk institution known as the best place
in town to sit down and enjoy a fresh cup of brewed coffee or iced tea, along with a delicious homemade meal. Commuters and
local working people, families and school kids -- everyone can find what they like at Schriefer's.
Like the first Schriefer's Deli, all of our food is prepared fresh daily. Every potato in our
salad is boiled and peeled in our kitchen, and everything we serve is made the morning you buy it. You can taste the difference
when you're getting fresh, wholesome food. So stop in and sample our salads, home made dinners, and top-of-the line Boar's
Head cold cut sandwiches, always made to order in the finest New York deli tradition.
